A delegation of six Year 12 students participated in the annual Pre-Selection Days of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Cyprus. Students practised their debating skills on a diverse number of global issues. EYP sessions encourage students to think independently, and give them the opportunity to broaden their cultural experiences.
This year, our students represented the AIDA Committee, the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age, but also debated on other current affairs topics like brain drain, environmental policies for farmers, a digital single market, and nuclear power plants.
The Head of the Jury noted that our students “were engaged and invested in the discussions, and contributed to the debate with passion and conviction.”. Our students have been selected to attend the National Session that will take place in August 2023. Well done to all students!
