Our Year 5 was visited by 10.10 Asteroskopeion, which links in with their learning of earth and space.

Mr Agapios Elia, the founder of the company and an astronomer/astro-photographer, came to share his knowledge and experience with our students. His colleague showed them how to use a solar telescope to observe the sun and paid particular detail to the solar flares coming off the sun.

Mr Agapios also delivered a presentation to the students, informing them how old the universe is, how far away space is from earth, the time of space in comparison to a human’s lifespan,  and observed the amount of stars within a galaxy using a super computer.
