This year’s edition of The Heritage New Writing Contest saw entrants from 14 schools around Cyprus. Among the winning entries was this poem by Leith Ryan Meshal of our School, who triumphed in the Under 11 Poetry category.

Leith’s poem struck the contest’s judges with its ambition, maturity and wit, and he was subsequently invited to perform it at the Cyprus Poetry Slam in front of an audience of internationally recognised spoken word poets – as well as poetry enthusiasts of Cyprus. Needless to say, they were just as impressed by Leith’s talent. We are very proud of Leith!
