International Summer School in Mathematics

A group of Year 10, 11 and 12 students participated in the International Summer School in Mathematics organised by the University of Newcastle, as a two=day online event hosted jointly by the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics and the International Office of the University.

On Day 1, academic events were organised and mini lectures on current research topics were given by academic staff from the departments of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics.

On Day 2, university-related activities were organised, including virtual tours of the campus.

It was an inspiring and motivating event, allowing our young mathematicians to broaden their horizons even further and get a taster of the next level of education.
