A team of 24 students, 15 Greek Cypriots and 9 Turkish Cypriots from many different schools across Cyprus were chosen to participate in the EUROSCOLA programme, which is fully sponsored by the European Union.

Dimitris Karapanagiotis from Year 11 represented the Heritage Private School this year. On the 9th of February, approximately 500 students from schools all over Europe, including the team from Cyprus,spent the entire day in the building of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, participating in debates, proposing resolutions and then voting on them, as part of a simulation of how the European Parliament fabricates EU-wide legislation.

Students had the unique opportunity to experience the role of Members of the European Parliament (MEP’s) and create connections with fellow students from other EU member states.
