Message from the Directors

At The Heritage Private School, whilst we emphasise the importance of academic achievement, we also aim to recognise, develop and celebrate the particular gifts of each individual student.

We believe that everyone can excel at something, so we offer the broadest possible range of academic, cultural, sporting and extracurricular activities to help every student to find their own niche.

We are extremely pleased that the hard work of students and staff results in excellent IGCSE and A Level results year after year.

In the Summer 2010 Cambridge International Examinations, our students received Outstanding Achiever Awards for obtaining the highest marks in Cyprus in IGCSE Biology and GCE A Level English Literature, and High Achiever Awards for IGCSE Computer Studies, IGCSE Global Perspectives, IGCSE First Language Russian and GCE AS Level Business Studies. One of our students also received the Cambridge International Examinations Scholarship Prize for the Highest Overall Mark in Cyprus for Cambridge IGCSEs.

Edexcel International High Achiever Awards were also given to our students following the Summer 2010 examinations for Joint Highest International Subject Mark in IGCSE Russian and in GCE A Level Fine Art, for the Highest Subject Mark in Cyprus for IGCSE Music, and for Joint Highest Mark in Cyprus for IGCSE Modern Greek.

The cultural and sporting life of the School is very satisfying, with students achieving success in the International Award (the name for the Duke of Edinburgh Award outside the UK), in the Kangorou competitions, and first prize in the Year 10 – 13 category of the Rotary Club’s 2011 Environmental Fair Competition, amongst many other accomplishments. The outstanding performance of our students in the Pancyprian Poetry Competition also deserves mention. In addition, our very impressive drama productions – most recently ‘Ocean World’ and ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ – deservedly receive enormous praise.

We are also really proud of our British Council International School Award, which recognises ‘our outstanding development of the international dimension in the curriculum’.

Comenius exchange projects, where students of different European countries meet to learn about each other’s cultures and share social activities, are always successful and popular. The most recent exchanges have been with Austria and Belgium.

The ‘Green’ environmental targets of the School continue to progress very well. Many more trees have been planted, and we have optimised the irrigation and water recycling systems.

Here at The Heritage Private School we host many popular events such as the annual Art Exhibition, and visitors can see for themselves our superb site and facilities.

We warmly invite you to entrust the education and pastoral care of your children to our dedicated team at The Heritage Private School. The future promises to be an exciting time for all: students, staff, parents and adult learners. We do hope that you will choose to join us, and share the benefits of our superb modern campus, excellent teaching, and beautiful location.
