Secondary School

The Heritage Private School is an English co-educational, academically selective school for students aged 2½ to 18, with an intake from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. The School follows the UK National Curriculum (http://www.qcda.gov.uk/), and as such, lessons are taught in English, and grades and marks for assessment purposes reflect standard UK practice.

The School is an International Fellowship Centre of the University of Cambridge, and an examination centre for the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) (www.cie.org.uk) and Edexcel International Examinations (www.edexcel.com).

The Heritage Secondary School includes Years 7 to 13 (Key Stages 3 to 5).

The information contained in the General Prospectus will provide you with more details, including aims and ethos, how the School is organised, the staff, school times, uniform, the curriculum and the teaching methods.

In Key Stage 4 in Years 10 – 11, students are prepared for the GCSE and IGCSE examinations where grades awarded range from A* to G. A summary of all subjects offered in Years 10 and 11 are provided in the IGCSE Prospectus, which may be downloaded here.

In Key Stage 5 in Years 12 & 13 students are prepared for the GCE AS and A Level examinations, where the results are graded from A* to E. A summary of all subjects offered in Years 12 and 13 are provided in the AS and A Level Prospectus, which may be downloaded here.

To those who complete Year 13, the School also issues a formal Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion).

Year 13 leavers inevitably progress to higher education, at colleges and universities in the UK and around the world.

In addition to its academic courses, the School also actively involves students in EU educational and community projects to extend experience and learning.
