Drama
At The Heritage Private School, strong attention is given to Drama as an important subject in the development and enhancement of many life skills, including self-confidence and self-esteem.
Various events such as shows and drama productions are organised during the year, and the School has an impressive 1,500 seating capacity outdoor amphitheatre especially constructed to host school and community events.
The Heritage Private School believes that Drama gives students the fundamental life skills of communication, empathy, presentation, confidence, teamwork, responsibility, awareness, and reliability.
The School aims to be recognised as the best school in Cyprus for preparing students who wish to continue studying Drama and the Performing Arts at a higher level, and also for those who wish to develop a professional career in these disciplines. Many graduates of The Heritage Private School have pursued Drama and related subjects at degree level, and/or embarked on a career in the Performing Arts.
The School’s Drama Department staff are already experienced teachers of GCSE, AS Level and A Level Drama & Theatre Studies. Performing Arts at the Heritage (PATH) was additionally created in 2010 to further the School’s plans for the Performing Arts, and extend opportunities to other Heritage and external students.
PATH holds classes in singing, dancing and drama, and will continue to expand the disciplines offered every year as new high quality lessons are introduced, such as instrumental lessons, lighting, sound, set design and so on.

Over the years, the interest in Drama at the School has grown dramatically, with numbers of students choosing this option at examination level tripling.
The quality of the School’s productions is consistently high, and many have been favourably compared to the standard of West End performances. A production is staged every year, with the School and PATH taking responsibility for the production in alternate years.
The School’s Drama Department also arranges very enjoyable, enriching and educational drama trips for the older Drama students, including visits to London to see shows, participate in workshops with actors, and spend a whole day at the Globe Theatre learning through practical and entertaining sessions and workshops.
